Thread: grub 2 modifications/edits

i able make customizations grub 2 following info in these links:

have far added splash screen image, changed text colors , removed unneeded grub entries menu.

however, screen resolution bit of problem configure me. laptop's native res 1920x1200. hit 'c' when @ grub menu , typed vbeinfo , got listing of resolutions. last ones listed 1920x1200. when change config file entry

if [ "x${grub_gfxmode}" = "x" ] ; grub_gfxmode=640x480 ; fi

to

code:

if [ "x${grub_gfxmode}" = "x" ] ; grub_gfxmode=1920x1200 ; fi

update grub, make sure splash image i'm using 1920x1200 .tga , restart, see upper left portion of image in grub screen.

when did vbeinfo think vbemode set 0x101 (640x480), mode want 1920x1200 0x17c or 0x17d.

how change vbemode ?

anyone ?
