Arduino Bluno shows LINK LED, red

hi all, new blog , arduino bluno boards. may ask forgiveness if terms incorrect. first proper individual project , unsurprisingly i'm having various difficulties. 1 i'm having right now.

i'm having issue connecting arduino bluno board bluetooth controller app on ios device called play bluno. thing is, when connect app arduino bluno board (as shown in attachment below), link led red. have looked various other forum posts , show sign of malfunction, yet don't suggest solutions.
the ramifications of link led, red, if i'm correct, not allowing bluetooth work. however, when send serial message app on device board blink in green moment, though link led still red. bottom line though, message not sent officially because arduino bluno board doesn't carry out command.
the thing is, when connect arduino bluno board computer arduino app, bluetooth end working ios device. link led not show red anymore!! need figure out why shows link led red when otherwise. cannot find issues can differentiate between computer usb cable power source or voltage supplies on arduino product.

please offer opinions, otherwise cannot move on project. in advance.
