Thread: DSL connection problem

hi ..

absolute newbie ubuntu ,,

tried going through "absolute beginner talk" couldn't find looking ..

heres problem :

having bridged connection (requires username , password connect internet)

tried method suggested many :

open terminal
sudo pppoeconf
(it asks password , enter )
window opens telling :
" found 3 ethernet devices
eth0
pan0
wlan0

ethernet interfaces listed above"

select yes

, starts "scanning device"
first eth0, pan0 , wlan0
eth0(multi-modem mode)
same pan0 , wlan0

finished sayin:
" sorry scanned 3 interfaces access contrator of provider did not respond.. please check ntw , modem cables. reason scan failure may running pppoe process controls modem"

selected ok (the option available)

ok , additional details ..

using ubuntu 9.04 ,, net connection has been configured static ip . (in windows have enter ip address , dns server addresses)


thats stand ......

need start using ubuntu final year project..
