i'm trying make alarm trigger when 2 motorcycles separated. it's if 2 bikers riding together, , 1 behind gets separated (by traffic lights, stopping photo, puncture etc) leading bike has buzzer triggered let them know either pull on or turn around find them.
i'm wondering if knows of radio system use this? bluetooth seems have easy use rssi interface can trigger alarm when signal strength goes below preset level, 433mhz modules have better range , penetration of vegetation , obstacles. advice appreciated.
and i'm not bothered calculating distance, want able trigger alarm if 2 modules seperated. of course there might complications determining difference between being 200m apart in city, , 500m in open space, tuning of code might possible this.

afaik, bt 10m, unlikely reach distance of other side of road. 433 mhz 'd think need, modern chip supports digital encoding plus rssi well, si4432 or si4463.
