Thread: firefox transparency


in previous windows life,i had firefox totally transparent (see shot).i know transparency , rgba not supported default , glasser extension (ff-addon) not available linux.but can done?i don't want windows have transparency (emerald,murrine...)just firefox.

use compiz. install compizconfig settings manager (sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager). go accessibility enable "opacity,brightness , saturation". click on icon. click on new button @ "windows specific settings". click on + button , enter "firefox" in value field. press add... use slide influence transparency. 100=no transparancy - 0=100% transparency.
can see background through firefox. happy tweaking!
