Thread: no boot after upgrading to 9.10


hi,
upgraded ubuntu 9.04 9.10 on acer aspire 5310 laptop . after finishing upgrade, computer cold not boot.
error messages are:

init: sreadahead main process (2143) terminated status 1
mountall: /proc: unable mount: device or resource busy
mountall: /proc/self/mountinfo: no such file or directory
mountall: root filesystem isn't
init: mountall main process (2144) terminated status 1
general error mounting filesystems
maintenance shell started
control-d terminate shell , re-try
give root password maintenance
(or type control-d continue)


giving root password entering maintenance mode
result of mount command is:
# mount
