Error: Missing CP1252.txt file ???

i keep getting error message "adobe indesign missing required files. please re-install." "missing files: cp1252.txt."
i've re-installed twice , checked , file there.
i'm trying download trial version of indesign cs4 on vista home premium 64-bit.

the problem may is, not it's missing altogether. i've done search file , come 2 candidates (on xp system) file should be:
c:\program files\common files\adobe\typesupport\unicode\mappings\win , c:\program files\common files\adobe\typespt\unicode\mappings\win

i suspect these same files, 2 paths used different versions of adobe applications. second path seems newer, i'd start that.
