i have created 2 master pages
a has auto page number on itand works fine.
b has no page numbering on have contents page on page.
the problem when put contents page @ front first page master page starts @ 2 instead of 1. though contents page no page numbering.
even if move contents page in middle of document contents page no number on page before page 26 contents page no numbering , next page 28 instead of 27.
how fix please???

if understand correctly, start new section want
the numbering begin , choose number start with.
you can flyout menu of pages panel.
