Applying a unique filename to the XML data from a user.

afternoon all:<br /><br />i wondering if there way apply unique file name xml data file generated pdf form. <br /><br />currently, when end users (who running reader) "submit", data file arrives <form filename>.xml--same filename everyone. <br /><br />i need have filename unique when dump folder massaged spreadsheet/database i'll building.<br /><br />one idea thought of might extract value of <proposed_name> field in form , make filename.<br /><br />is doable?  have better suggestion?<br /><br />input appreciated...<br /><br />thanks!

i'm sorry cannot answer question, , i'm dismayed there no responses. basic sort of option should provided. spent day creating form staff faster processing of order our 2007 publication, , whole thing useless because it's returning of .xml files same name , it's time consuming save each 1 in folder, go in , rename before saving next one. totally mitigates convenience of having forms submit in format!

i want set filenames use unique string, such date stamp or 1 of form fields.

in testing, did have few instances returned form random string of letters , numbers, great! had cleared default subject line email field , seemed .xml file names well. however, did twice , reverted using form name .xml file names. don't think made changes, i'm baffled. thought i'd mention though because somehow did have working how wanted, , theoretically, can done!

help, anyone? hope i'm being doof. adobe not leave out such important option.
