Inspecting Process/Task Data

so, i've been trying troubleshoot various things happen when users use workflow i've made. however, it'd nice able see variables @ point process (whether it's stalled or waiting task, etc).

what's easiest way take variables , form data @ particular point? diving db best thing? if so, data held?

in version 8.1 can use variable logger service (under foundation category). can configure service write out variables log or file in either case see values there. if variable complex type (document or xfaform) merely indicate variable populated not show contents.
