hi -- have 3 questions. use winxp , indesign cs3.
1) can recommend resource beginning indesign users? watch tutorials they're above head.
2) created 2 text boxes on 1 page, 1 headline , 1 article, , added placer box photo. created object box , filled color , feathered it. can't text info back. can see boxes, text won't come unless move box off page. i've been messing around send back, send front, select first object, etc., nothing works. help!
3) third question might related no. 2. photo or text vanish page i'm not working on. scroll down page , whoah -- mystery time!
you can tell i'm newbie. feel free talk down me.

#1, lot of people sandee cohen's visual quickstart. think best book out there real world indesign cs3, it's pretty daunting looking beginner. browse through it, though, , think you'll find written enough can handle it. explain why, how.
#2 sounds have text wrap applied box or boxes. either remove it, or select text frame , open text frame properties dialog , enable "ignore text wrap" checkbox.
#3 reasons can think of off top of head why image disappear if a) it's on hidden layer; b) set non-printing in attributes panel or on pasteboard , not on page itself, , in preview mode; c)you've inadvertently selected image direct select tool (instead of selecting whole frame regular selection tool) , tried move it, positioning image outside frame; or d) image inline text being pushed out of frame text wrap.
