Thread: 64 bit OS with only 2 gb ram


hi got 64 bit processor 2 gb ram should keep using ubuntu 32 bit or install 64 bit version instead? hear 32 bit wont let u use more 4 gb ram dont have , converting videos lot faster using 64 bit dont convert full length movies longest video converted 20 minutes
other performance increase?
worth installing 64 bit version? cause ppl crashes , getting flashplayer work kinda tricky

there few programs take advantage of ram unless have 2 processors begin with. have 3 gb ram on dell laptop , found slight speed advantage in startup , connection speeds wifi. think depends on equipment. try live cd , see if helps before install. won't cost or dual boot both 32 bit , 64 bit on same hd in separate partitions. did or awhile before going strictly 64 bit.
