Thread: Use VNC as a second monitor

hi
wondering if following possible:
have 2 computers sitting side side, each monitor. 1 has ubuntu, 4 desktops. have other computer display contents of 1 of desktops of ubuntu machine via vnc, can use monitor extended desktop. connect second monitor ubuntu machine, bit of hassle, use other computer quite bit. i'm looking easy, quick, cheap software solution.
possible configure vnc server display content of 1 of desktops, not 1 visible? or maybe can run xvnc , make existing windows appear there?
