i installed xfce. tried install kde got many errors , stopped trying it. opened xfce session (i still logged in) , went wrong. bottom dock , else might not have noticed excluding desktop , icons disappeared no apparent reason , cannot them reappear. no apps open except file manager... reason firefox still working because didn't close it. closed terminal , not opening either. there no option log out , have reason believe uninstalled gnome before closed terminal... has else experienced strange xfce lockup... , if restart x desktop still work?
all right i'm gonna restart , see does... have ubuntu cd ready lol.
