i've read through several posts regarding how use wine install games - i'm running trouble. i'm complete newbie please patient. also, game totally lame no eyeball-rolling @ choice of entertainment.
anyhoo, installed wine , entered "winecg" (or that) in terminal make wine part of home directory.
inserted disk , clicked on icon. when directory came up, right-clicked on .exe folder , followed install instructions (including having saved c:/ directory wine creates in home folder).
far - got friendly "plants vs. zombies" (i told you) screen options of "play game" or "quit." when click "play game," screen blinks couple of times, goes black , when comes again, image grossly enlarged , fuzzy - cursor. also, tabs , trays disappear. grey box says "loading game" in middle of gigantic image , hard drive ramps nothing happens. after few minutes of nothing happening, hit ctrl-alt-del , tabs reappear @ bottom of screen including game tab. can right-click , quit game.
i've tried several times, installing , uninstalling game , same thing happens. . .
help!
oh, did go on steam website @ suggestion in post (involving cooler game mine) seemed internet games , want play little dorky game @ home, myself.
well did check application database @ winehq see if game work on wine? not win programs can run on wine.
