i have old portege 3440ct - p3 500mhz , 64mb ram.
has no cdrom , cant boot thumb drive.
had win2k on grabbed unetbootin windows , got install xubuntu 9.10 via net install.
great - rebooted , started install downloading files on go after finished , rebooted it's gone shell rather nice gui. suspect i've selected wrong version installer thought i'd plumped xubuntu desktop.
i'm bit lost - how turn shell nice xfce gui?
edit - 'sudo apt-get install xubuntu-desktop' seems place start...
