Thread: No desktop icon - No right click - Karmic

hi all.

morning desktop shows no icon, see no menu windows when right clicking on , cannot see selection area when trying left-click , drag mouse pointer.

clicking on places -> desktop can see of icons. can select objects , can see right-click menu window.
can run applications applications menu , both upper , lower panes work fine.

tried reboot, change desktop background, unable , enable desktop effects, change desktop resulution, change couple of themes i've been not lucky.
no desktop neither video nor gnome related updates or changes along last days, afasir. yesterday worked fine. i've run "update manager", updated system , restarted: nothing changes.

"not ordinary" things can remark:

• yesterday i've been trying suspend , hybernate functions upper panel, never done since upgraded jaunty karmic
• today karmic advices free space on /media/common partition (it's ntfs) since it's 2gb of free space left on partition
• this morning started system without a/c power, battery (fully charged)

suggestion, please?

update. desktop icons still not appear. can happen appear after time (maybe 1 hour or half) of using computer.

supposed due execution of specific application, today i've been executing firefox, openoffice , nautilus no luck.

suggestion, please?
