does know of minimal linux distribution can use only command line text editing? i'll using vi editor, i'm looking that
a) can install in under 200 mb of space
b) absolutely maximize battery life of laptop (see signature specs)
c) can install tiny app on tell me percentage of battery left
d) can run htop
e) has small app tell me current system time (2:45 pm, etc, in format kind of that).
don't need internet access, advanced graphics driver, x server, etc. pretty programs i'm going run vi, htop, , whatever program find battery life. don't want use ubuntu this, because command line ubuntu still way more bloated need.
right now, 2 hours of battery life out of laptop when i'm running ubuntu gnome, i'd love have can use basic text editing give me @ least 4 (since it's not using of processor/memory/graphics).

try cli install of dsl, microcore or puppy linux.
microcore cli, though 10mb brother tinycore has gui.
puppy 100mb, scream on laptop, overkill power. got plenty of apps, , can strip down if like.
dsl personal favourite, 50mb, run 16mb of ram, it'll stupid fast on laptop
