server side scripting

hi,

i'm using form server , try run server-side scripting. test purposes simpy want add item list box using javascript. script triggered click-event of simple button. in documentation mentioned e.g. click event triggers server side srcipt execution. furthermore mentioned form server merges result form on client automatically.
but nothing happens...
has idea how fix this?

what doing on server side? think should doing processformsubmission() , returning output content browser.
