experimenting new raspberry pi , relay control ordinary 240 volt ac desk lamp.
python script loops, activating relay (turning lamp on) 2 seconds de-activating (turning lamp off), after 3 or 4 cycles not terminates python script shuts down raspberry pi !
googled , found out called "flywheel" diode dissipate relay shutdown spike ... put 1n4001 diode across live (5v ac) , gpio signal inputs relay (hope right).
same issue occuring, script runs few cycles goes off.
can help?, huge in abticipation.
