i cleaning closet , came across brand new sb audigy se pci card still in box, , have couple of q's, if can answer.
1. since have ubuntu installed (using onboard realtek sound), audigy se easy upgrade/install, far karmic goes? karmic recognize card when plug in pci slot , configure? or have uninstall drivers, change bunch of settings, on top of installing new drivers, etc?
2. sound worth effort? have older creative 5.1 speaker system, using 2.1 because of onboard sound has 2 inputs. if easy install sound much better, it's not mission critical needs.

yeah, should work right away, after install on pc. you'll need set default audio device , enable 5.1.
