i downloaded ppc 9.10 mini cd install of ubuntu. booted great on ibook indigo clamshell!
@ command typed in "install" or rather , worked through until got "install , select software". when gave me options, ticked "xubuntu desktop" , @ 91% computer shut off. forgot charge!
told me base system installed though. won't boot it! wondering if continue install "install , select software" or if not make boot base system has been installed can manually install xubuntu desktop.
things note:
- installed on ibook clamshell indigo 366mhz, 364mb ram, 10 gb hard disk
- guided install (used whole disk)
- crashed @ additional software install during xubuntu desktop download @ 91%
- uses yaboot or something
don't want redo install don't have lot of internet each month , can't wasting it.
gah please i've been trying clamshell running linux long! frustrated!!
tried continue install wants redownload packages can't do! doesn't have wireless card can't go hotspot , try again!
can access sort of command line 1 choosing 1 of last options on menu in installer though.
can make installed partition boot? said base system did install!
