Transparency troubleshooting

okay know there have been quite few threads on this, haven't found i'm looking yet. do when different transparent items causing white lines around items in print? read simulate-overprinting option on here, i'm not working in spot color (and didn't cmyk).

i had weird issue in 1 page of recent document exports pdf fine *unless* use pdf settings print company requires -- creates white lines around various items. couldn't figure out how fix it, sent them original indesign files. prepress department couldn't figure out either (which surprises me). here's original file looked like:

http://www.rotor.com/temp/pdfs/page30.pdf

those items @ top cause white lines. of text set in indesign various text effects applied.

what sort of thing should figure out problem? rasterized top of page @ high resolution , sent in. prepress department had given me various errors including "transparency setting used 10x" , "missing plugins" (there aren't plugins).

the weird thing pdf exports if use "press quality" setting -- it's if try use print-company's settings white lines.

okay, advice appreciated.

thanks, phyllis

sounds printer wants flattened pdf files, may mean have older rip can't handle transparency. have tried use 1 of pdfs made keep transparency live (and eliminate "stitching")?
