Thread: Best/easiest way to mount NAS windows shares on 9.10?

not sure post but:

i've played ubuntu on years i'm not complete novice, in researching issue on net there seems many different opinions on how accomplish this.

installed 9.10 on inspiron 1520 & fine. main pc desktop running windows 7 home premium & storage have dlink dns-323. believe both in win 7 workgroup, understand it, matters other win 7 pc's. dns-323's firmware 1.07 & other running tonkymedia stock. ubuntu install on laptop date. second desktop & laptop – both running 9.10 can see dns-323 & it's files fine while win 7 pc running, not @ if off. dhcp router.

there “official” way or whats easiest way automatically mount windows shares on start & not have win 7 pc running? i've been able garner points installing form of samba, assume on dns, thought had type of samba on it.

major sticking point me.

thanks!
