Running Joomla on Our Servers - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i work large organization , we're looking @ moving our web site cms. however, we're concerned performance , if our servers can handle joomla. here statistics our peak month:

march 2007:
successful server requests: 13,000,000
total data transferred: 91.745 gb

amount of data transferred file type:
html files: 31.7 gb
image files: 26.5 gb
css files: 3.4 gb
media files (movies, flash, etc): 4.5 gb
php files: 1.5 gb

servers:
2 servers - t1000 6 core single processor sun boxes; 2gb ram, 160gb hd;
our server administrator wants have load balancing between 2 servers handle load equally.

we running mysql 5 , php 5.

can tell me how our site run joomla under these circumstances? joomla still viable option or can not handle type of load?

rob, think you're going have run own tests. joomla isn't going problem. it's question of servers. not sure stats joomla.org servers i'll bet it'd benchmark.
