Thread: 9.10 not completing install

hi, im unbuntu noob.

uninstalled vista out coz crashed , installing 9.10. way 80% of install when gets configuring network/apt , stops , revert ubuntu desktop. tried formatting in gpart first failed too. did hd test , came 26 bad sectors , @ front. wonder if thats causing not install. if thats case, how hard install new 160gb hd in emachine d520 laptop?
