new ubuntu , linux , still learning ways of community, i'm not sure turn next on issue, if anywhere. many others seems, i'm having suspend/hibernation issues both desk top , laptop i've installed 9.10 on. after looking answers, i'm not sure i'm finding means. example, when search on topic, i'm referred thread closed: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1307618. fact closed mean issue has been reported death , being worked on? or solution in there somewhere should going through them see if of them work, seems hit or miss part (and not easy proposition given neophyte status)?
other posts suggest ongoing problem , don't expect fix anytime soon. i've read elsewhere should report bug, have hard time believing new bug report constructive given widespread nature of problem. likewise, doesn't seem posting constructive since similar postings referred 1 above. so...where go here? thank you.
