Client Login Procedure

our business involves sending out topical economic , financial research in multiple daily e-mails our clients. wish prevent e-mail forwarding of research non-clients. while there seems nothing prevent e-mail forwarding itself, hope control access our research using attached pdf files.

the solution seems policy server, have initial question client login. mean clients must log in policy server before allowed view pdf sent them? done automatically when client tries open pdf, or must prior attempt opening file, , must before every pdf file sent them (we send several every day). if latter, of our clients object step each time. , mean need open our firewall server clients?

thanks

carl,
when attempt open policy-protected document, login dialog automatically appear.
this dialog pass credentials server on policy server running. server
must accessible outside of firewall each of clients.

based on tests i've performed in past, acrobat , reader appear local caching
of login credentials (though haven't seen documentation confirming this). means
if have acrobat or reader , running, may not prompted login if
open policy-protected document (though still communicate remote policy server).

hope helps!
