hi all:
working on indesign cs2 on macbook , cs3 on windows & getting same problem.
i'm setting block of type in document. changing block outlines & resizing it. color of fill black.
i copy type turned outlines & paste in place & color object yellow & offset little give drop shadow look. (also have used drop shadow effect same thing.)
i have several blocks of copy of different sizes on page, largest being 1" high, rest around 30 pt type.
when print postscript file & distill acrobat 8, larger blocks of type (turned outlines) not knockout black under yellow. on smaller size type.
any ideas?

check attributes palette. that's overprint controlled. screen grab illustrate scenario.
