Thread: Having trouble sharing files with Samba, "access denied"

hello everyone,

quite new ubuntu user , in need of help. have scoured web for problem nothing seems me. lot of smb.conf files reference seem different 1 using perhaps relate older version(?).

anyways, have samba installed , have set folder share full permissions. can access folder windows can't access files have been created in ubuntu. again mentioned i've tried dozens of suggestions through web searches nothing has worked. appreciated.

i having several issues windows 7 , accessing or writing samba shares

cannot browse , see of shares. can access them via \\ip address connections.

can write , create , delete while accessing these shares if try backup windows 7 goes end , claims access denied though have seen 98% of files on shares.
