Thread: How can i eliminate wireless as cause for freezing?

hi,

keep getting these random freezes, , in debian, depending on whether wireless turned on, kerneloops error messages. thought i'd disable wireless , see if ubuntu still freezes? how do that, wireless driver part of kernel?

(the thing is, in ubuntu, unlike debian, wireless hardware automatically turned on when rebooting. btw, device intel corporation pro/wireless 3945abg [golan] network connection)

unloading kernel module that.

dont know module 3945abg uses.

try modprobe -l | grep 3945abg , see comes out, should see file called nameofmodule.ko

once have found type sudo modprobe -r nameofmodule.ko remove
