while sending e-mail system froze up. after few minutes of inactivity, reached on , killed machine, big dummy. after rebooting opened thunderbird find gone, e-mails, accounts, nothing. thunderbird welcomed me if had installed program, asking if i'd set account.
after couple hours research discovering problem appears corrupt prefs.js file. when looking in profile folder see of e-mails still there, under inbox folder, prefs.js file 957 bytes, instead of 36k prefs.js in old backup folder, tells me it's been overwritten.
there way recover e-mail, and/or accounts? possible repair prefs.js file?
have backup profile folder, it's not recent, i'd recover e-mail if @ possible. or advice appreciated. in advance.
