Database + XML = MASS CONFUSION

hi all,

i need little insight because i've driven myself bonkers... work audiobook publisher , we're thinking of switching our catalogs on indesign coreldraw (don't laugh). basically, biggest hold fact indesign won't take svgs! use svgs our book data (narrators, cd counts, isbns, etc.). basically, i'm looking alternative way data our catalog.

after looking @ example, can see i'm talking about, little clump of info. need know how database info indesign, or if it's possible. i'm other people catalogs in indesign, right? use ms access of our database. @ helpful.

i'm in middle of placing bunch of content access id, workflow create single story placeholder, tagging "parent" element of repeating content, , letting indesign duplicate or "clone" many times necessary place database records.
