Thread: New Computer - specs compatible with Ubuntu?

hello,

purchased new desktop computer no os hoping install ubuntu on myself. i've had 6 months experience red hat enterprise linux 3, , months experience dual booting ubuntu wubi on laptop. unfortunately didn't think how ubuntu works hardware because has worked fine laptop. think have problem these specs?

intel core 2 duo e8600 3.33ghz 6mb cache
2gb ddr2 pc2 6400 800mhz kit 2x1gb chips
400gb serial ata 7200rpm sata hard drive
intel gma3100 onboard 287mb shared video card adapter
dvd-rom/cd-rw combo dvd/reader cd/writer
realtek alc662 6-channel high definition sound card adapter
realtek rtl8101e 10/100mbps ethernet adapter (lan)
54mbps wireless-g pci adapter card
