been lurking while, , new raspberry pi scene. give little ground reason project. have small workout room, , in room treadmill. treadmill has wall right , wall in front. way when fold track have room. spin treadmill around , mount tv somewhere fun 
tread mill has tablet holder @ wrong height when running, , can't fit tv in front of me. lg tablet use struggles kodi, , im tired of hassle. want larger screen don't want buy larger tablet. plus sounds fun project!
plan recycle old laptop screen 15", along rbp3 , kodi , make picture frame hang on wall in front of me @ eye level when running, audio go though bluetooth headphones. use kodi media center, ota homerun mythtv backend , kodibuntu front end. comfortable connections monitor controller rbp3.
here need guidance, have options running rbp3 , monitor off of same power supply, 2nd have ideas mounting keeping thin possible. thinking make picture frame hidden power cord....

you need lvds hdmi adapter board. search ebay model number of screen see if adapter exists.
