Thread: New to Ubuntu - Problems Connecting To Home WiFi


hello all;

first post , first install of linux based os ever!

installed unr 9.10 on dell mini 9. having few issues connecting home wifi though.

@ bit of loss average linux users register me completly computer illiterate. possible don't have right drivers wouldnt know how install driver or routers driver from. there doesn't seem kind of automated scan available wireless networks.

tried manually input routers details possible got information wrong , why not connecting. know wifi working because android based phone connecting no problem...

little help?

oh , way: looked @ trouble shooting said input "sudo lshw -c network" console.
