Thread: DNS issues

hi,

i'm having problems dns in ubuntu.
router correctly configured , has connection internet. dns set use isp's.

diagnostics page in router correctly looking ip addresses, can ping.
if try ping name of site command prompt, cannot find it, nor can access sites name in firefox.

have tried rebooting router, , doing

sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart

but nothing has helped.

have ideas, or further diagnostics do?

can ping 4.2.2.1?
