hi folks. i'm trying set skype on hp mini 110, built-in mic isn't getting picked pulseaudio, appears sound server skype supports. unfortunately, don't have more information that, because karmic's sound config gui has been replaced 1 without diagnostic tools... know tool can use in place of it/a way old version? , more importantly, can me figure out issue?
hmmm.. did u try changing in input tab connector (see attached screenshot)?
work dell d630 , have 2 inputs: mic 1 headphones mic, mic 2 internal mic. , doesnt switch them automatically when plug in jack, output gets rerouted headphones. have select mic want use. maybe case also...
skype supports alsa too, if pulseaudio active, option available. skype 1 of handful programs work skype in karmic (based on personal observations only).
