i'm looking @ options automating existing paper-based form, , have couple of questions on capabilities of adobe barcoded forms:
- complex validation: there section of form requires entry of address history last 5 years. addresses entered must validated ensure there no gaps or overlaps in time periods each address. level of validation possible?
- of information on form needs pre-populated information available in database(e.g. renewal applications). possible generate part-populated forms on fly, , send these users complete remainder? (rather requiring user enter fields)

i believe you're looking @ wrong product, livecycle barcoded forms decoder decoding information paper forms barcode object if it's place on form.
- complex validation: if understand correctly want check set of entered addresses make sure there no gap in time line. if so, yes, can done iwth validation script on form.
- form prepopulation: yes, typically done using livecycle forms (previously known form server).
