we wondering if pump controlled arduino board - functions through variations in voltage control motor rpms in turn determine flow rate. external control mode selected rs-485, planned interface array of pumps our campbell scientific data loggers. may case, first wanted use arduino establish flow rates , basic operation.

it seems controllable 1200baud serial data should controllable arduino. page linked not have details of how that.
if can details of how connect serial port on pump , details of commands responds give better advice.
you should aware atmel's fine print warns against use of devices in life-support equipment. arduino hardware increase risks.
