i have defined master page containing naturally 2 pages left , right.
on each page have set 3 text frames. top, middle , bottom.
i have threaded top left top right, middle middle , bottom bottom.
the idea autofill top, middle bottom.
i have placed text tile top text frame autofill (shift in windows) , filled top text frame correctly creating 139 pages.
back page 1.
tried select middle or bottom text frames....nada.
can't them. remain dotted unselected text frames , cannot select them , place middle text , bottom text.
(when remove middle , bottom frames on master page, , define text frame page 1, can fill without autofill automatically repeat text frame in same size , relative position on following spead pages. have manually place text frames page page right size , location , continue filling manually.)
any ideas? can have multiple threads originating on master page?

i'm not totally sure understand question. trying have text run top-left top-right center-left center-right bottom-left bottom-right before making new spread, or trying have 3 separate sets of threaded text? sense latter, since seem want place multiple pages before coming next set of frames.
master text frames can confusing in how work, particularly if used other applications must have frame selected place text. in indesign don't need pre-select frame sort of "place" operation, , program create 1 on fly if required @ point click "loaded" cursor.
alternately, can drag frame loaded cursor desired size , shape, or, if frame happens available can use it, including frames on master page, moving loaded cursor on frame , noting cursor changes shape include parentheses. happens when click loaded cursor depends on placing , action take.
placing graphical element uses top-left corner reference, if click , release loaded cursor become top left corner of frame size , shape require place object @ 100% scale. dragging , releasing cursor create frame size , shape drag, , object placed within upper left corner in upper left, , scaled 100%. if frame size not match object, either have empty space or object cropped.
placing existing frame similar, except can create frame in advance scaling or filling rules applied, or reflection or rotation, along effects might want add (putting frame that's pre-styled in way onto master page can real timesaver in situations).
placing text bit different, similar. if click , release loaded cursor, indesign create new text frame top edge @ point click, , frame made fill column guides (every page has @ least 1 column fills margins) down bottom margin guide. text fill frame top according whatever default frame insets set to. default alignment appears not honored.
if click , drag frame, frame filled, or if click on existing frame, filled, in case vertical justification options have been applied frame honored.
my students last year discovered appears un-documented ripple in placing existing frame. if happen click loaded cursor on guide new frame created using on-the-fly rules (you can see cursor change not having parentheses cross on guides) recommend clicking inside away frame edges or ruler guides when trying place content existing frame.
