Two Pin Toggle Switch - Raspberry Pi Forums

i hoping create system when used toggle switch, pi complete shut-down in safe way , turn on when switched other way, however, have near enough knowledge without bit of help... looked wiring toggle switches , seemed 3 pin switches wasn't because ones have brother 2 pins (see link)...

don't know if possible....(maybe it'll have simple button switch?

if on pi, should see 2 holes header labeled reset. if wire open monetary contact push button switch there. can used reboot/power pi. contacts shorted (connected together) while button depressed. release button , open circuit again. have pi running kodi shut down , leave powered up. pressing reset switch boots again. same can done power down wiring same type of switch gpio pin , using python code. https://www.element14.com/community/doc ... berry-pi-b done 1 toggle switch. need dual pole, dual throw, momentary contact switch.
