power supply cant provide enough power

hi!

i have following problem: have 4 dc motors cd trays , im using locked antiphase swing 4 bells chinese h-bridges , arduinos.

at beginning have used 2 ac-dc adaptors of 12v , 800ma/1200ma max currents (i opened 800ma 1 , found voltage divider , 1000uf cap inside). problem was, when bell started swing alone, come full swing, 2 bells share same power supply start, can seen 1 of them having difficulties (interesting, same 2 had problems). anyways, added adaptor , fixed problem 1 of them. im out of adaptors (xd) need 1 fourth 1 , im thinking... heck, have 5 adaptors there drawing power , generating heat (one of them arduino on 9v). thinking of using pc power supply read needs draw @ least half amp stay stable stopped thinking it. im thinking building power supply myself, bit beefier 1 , need help.

if buy 12v 2a regulator , if have diode bridge , transformer (18v 2a), should put additional caps? (im assuming lack of capacitance thats causing problem) after or before regulator? in case im afraid ill burn out adding more caps because they'll draw lot of power fill when turned on :s , how capacitance enough :\

its interesting though... measured current drawn bells , its not exceeding power supply's limit, guess power supplies not powerful label says...

well, help! :d

how current single bell need ?

i think have wrong motors , wrong adapters.
a cd tray needs spin fast (unless have old ones 1x speed). motors might not efficient , require high currents.
you should stay away cheap adapters (wall warts or whatever called). certified switching requlator can supply current labeled for.
