Importing Word documents (hyperlinks)

when import word documents, there urls show active in indesign (have little box around them -- doesn't disappear until go window - interactive - hyperlinks , delete them). (i have no reason make them active , haven't worked indesign , active links.) there find , replace can ditch these faster? i'm starting series of find , replace switch local formatting character styles (thanks folks on board explaining how that!) -- wondered if there easy find/replace strip out hyperlinks while i'm @ (?). don't notice them until later on.

thanks, phyllis

if want rid of hyperlinks, open hyperlinks palette,
select them all, , trash them. don't need find them delete them.

i used delete them, because had no use them. , 1
day, when realized waste of time, stopped deleting them.
