Hacking the Code-a-pillar? - Raspberry Pi Forums

(apologies if wrong 'folder')

has had go @ hacking fisher price "code-a-pillar"? (here's fisher price product page: http://fisher-price.mattel.com/shop/en- ... llar-dkt39 )

have 1 lined christmas present our son. seems there should scope hack it, individual segments connected standard sized usb connectors.
think interface scratch make lot of sense.

search online came with: http://anngadzikowski.com/hack-your-code-a-pillar/
tell how mute speaker. yes demo 1 in store loud (!) , there no volume control, can see being worthy 'hack', although insert preset resistor circuit instead...

yes know fisher price's code-a-pillar android app, simplistic game simulates virtual code-a-pillar , far can tell, doesn't communicate real code-a-pillar.

interested in co-operating others on hacking code-a-pillar, i'm not yet sure start.

hi.
have got 1 of these 4 y/o, , quite interested in hacking it. uses standard usb port, don't know if it's wired usb port or proprietary world device.
logically can see codeapillar head reads module identifying value each connected module, determines action take , feeds signal trigger each module in sequence.
nice replace modules pi , controlling phone etc
