setting memory_limit in php.ini not used Joomla 1.5 - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi,

i'm new here.

currently, have error:
fatal error: allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried allocate 40961 bytes) in c:\wamp\www\joomla\libraries\joomla\application\module\helper.php on line 128
fatal error: allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried allocate 98304 bytes) in c:\wamp\www\joomla\modules\mod_mainmenu\legacy.php on line 124

the error occurred when open website in localhost.
eventhough have set "memory_limit=64mb" inside  php.ini

i can't go in website @ all. 

your amp server not picking setting in php.ini.  has nothing joomla!  server running?  sure there isn't php.ini file should using?
