Thread: Backtick key - have to press twice

hi all,

have problem backtick key ` character.
key left of 1 , above tab (uk keyboard layout).
using shift key gives ¬

problem have press twice type backtick character.
ideas? can't see options in keyboard prefs.

update: have fixed clicking "reset default" in keyboard prefs.

the above solution didn't work keyboard, had modify key map stop generating dead key:

code:

xmodmap -e 'keycode 49 = grave asciitilde'

you should use xev correct keycode keyboard.
