Thread: how to disable compiz without running ubuntu?

i have serios problem compiz freezes 9.10 ubuntu boots , see desktop...

how can disable recovery mode, live cd or that? ideas please?

- boot login screen.

- hit ctrl-alt-f2 virtual terminal

- log in terminal

- execute:

code:

sudo aptitude remove compiz

- type "exit" logout

- hit ctrl-alt-f7 graphical login

- login.
