Limiting the length of a page - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi.
i'm doing magazine site , want limit length of of content of articles rather long , lead massive amount of scrolling. there mambot or rule or limit length of each page 20 lines of text or 800px or , break article pages?

i know add page break article, there on 200 articles on site , don't fancy going through each story!!! also, if there's image in text alters length.

any ideas appreciated!!!!
