Multiple flashing led groups program

hi everyone,

looking guidance. i'm complete newbie when comes programming have been told arduino best way i'm aiming for.

i looking @ trying use uno control 4 groups of leds, 3 of want flash @ different rates , 1 stay on constantly. each group has got 6 leds wired in parallel.

basically orange lights on lorry , wide load  van. using 0406 smd leds going in 1:148 vehicles.

i have been playing uno bought 4 normal 3mm leds , other bits. seem have gotten myself , confused. have found programmes online think have added confusion.

i have got work out program. know possible have seen videos showing no matter how research , reading it doesn't seem working me.

any can offer make easier me big help. hoping of knowledge , guidance, can grip on i'm trying do.

hi alistair. willing help, don't want waste , time if leds or arduino go "pop". please post schematic showing how going wired up. post whatever code have had success with. use code tags!
